Common questions about BlackBox deployment, requirements, and operation in classified environments.
Hardware is provided by Air Gap Intel, fully compliant with required DISA STIGs. Our primary deployment model is a pre-configured, hardened appliance that arrives ready to connect to your network.
If hardware is to be procured by the client, this will be discussed during the scoping process to ensure compatibility and compliance requirements are met.
It works just as you'd think—completely offline and attached to any internal network within the air-gapped (or classified) environment.
BlackBox requires no internet connectivity, makes no external calls, and processes everything locally using an embedded AI model. All data stays within your enclave.
The approval process is dependent on your company policy. You get the approval, we deploy.
We provide all necessary documentation, security controls information, and technical specifications to support your internal approval process. Once you have authorization, we handle the deployment.
Using BlackBox does not explicitly require admin rights. However, in order to use the software, users will need to be part of the appropriate NTFS permissions group that is proprietary to the BlackBox Suite.
This permissions model allows for granular access control while maintaining the principle of least privilege.
Updates are delivered to clients in the form of an offline executable file via the client login portal.
You download the update package from your secure portal, transfer it to your air-gapped environment through your approved data transfer process, and run the installer. No internet connectivity required at any point in the update process.
